 Becca and Cory! <3
Awe!! There so cute! Eli, Nick, Quinn, Cory, and Matt(dad.)
 Timothy!
 Me!
 Timothy, Me and Charity!
Becca and Quinn or Cory (not sure which.)

All of these are really old lolz! But looking back we all look quite a bit alike. Wanna see what we look like know?? Do ya, do ya!? Lolz okay

 Cory and his wife Taylor.
Becca her husband and their daughter. (They also have a baby boy.)
Me and my Big sister Becca now. ( Can you guess who is who?)
 Timothy all grow up!
 Charity,Nick,and Eli.
My dad!! He's cool!

As I looked threw pictures I found us making faces that matched each other. Its crazy to think that we all used to so different. "What did you want to be when you grow up?" Used to be such a huge question, and now were all grown up or getting closer. Crazy how fast life flies bye and how blessed we are by every day God gives us and all the roses.

Be Beautiful!

Power, beauty, freedom, and love. There is a huge drive for women to be powerful, we all want to feel beautiful, living in america gives us the freedom to dress as we wish, and we all want to be loved. The media shows us all these beautiful, powerful ( half naked) women that use sex appeal to get what they want. We are taught that this is normal, and the only way to be beautiful and powerful. Lets check out what the bible says.

"Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come."
-Proverbs 31:25

To be dress in honor and strength. We need to stop looking to the media to tell us who to be and how to dress. Half naked does not get you anywhere but away from God. If you dress inappropriately to ketch a guys attention you are causing him to lust, so it makes it your fault that he is sinning.

Dressing modestly (and fashionably) these days is an art .  A lot of us don't want to make the extra effort to overcome the challenges and dress with grace, beauty, and dignity. Add to that our desire to be found attractive by guys, and we end up with crazy low standards for how we dress. We know that we’ll get more attention from guys in form-fitting tops, tight pants, and short skirts. It’s all very tempting to rationalize immodesty because “at least this outfit isn’t as bad as a lot of things I could wear.” We think that as long as we aren’t going topless on the beach, we have an element of modesty. But what is God’s standard?

"In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works"

-1 Tim. 2:9-10

The word modestly literally means “with shame and bashfulness.” In other words, not shamelessly flaunting our bodies, but exuding a sense of careful dignity and guardedness, even in the way we dress. The word discreetly means “to keep hidden.” A woman’s body is for the enjoyment of ONE man alone - her husband. God asks us to not give other men the privilege of viewing what belongs only to the man we will spend the rest of our life with.

It is easy to assume that true modesty means drab, shapeless, unfeminine clothes that make us extremely unattractive. But God’s pattern doesn’t bring oppression and ugliness - it brings liberty and beauty. Contrary to popular belief, feminine beauty does NOT mean sensuality. It is more than possible to show  the kind of dignity, grace, and true feminine beauty that will captivate a man’s heart - without using sex appeal.

Thats true beauty! (=

Dreaming.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

Cause this is not about what you've done,
But what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been,
But where your brokenness brings you to

This is not about what you feel,
But what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.

You've been remade
You've been remade.

Jesus is greater than anything we've done.

I have been making a list of things I want to accomplish  during this year and before fall of 2013 and thought I would share them with you.

Read straight through the bible without stopping.

Love like Jesus loved.
Run a mile in 6 minute.
Go street witnessing.
Use every chance I am given to be a witness.
Work at H4H.
Get a job.
Finish high school.

Praise God every where, for everything.
Go to college days.

The Circle Maker

Hey!

Sorry I have not posted in a while.

I want to share with you the incredible story of Honi ( the circle maker.) This story is the bases for the book " The Circle Maker."

A few weeks ago I was sitting with my sister and she pulled out a book and read this two me. I was very intrigued and thought I would share it with you.

A devastating drought threatened to destroy a generation–the generation before Jesus. The last of the Jewish prophets had died off nearly four centuries before. Miracles were a distant memory. And God was nowhere to be heard. But there was one man, an old sage who lived outside the walls of Jerusalem, who dared to pray anyway. His name was Honi. And even if the people could no longer hear God, he believed that God could still hear them.

With a six-foot staff in his hand, Honi drew a circle in the sand. Then he dropped to his knees and raised his hands to heaven. With the authority of the prophet Elijah who called down fire from heaven, Honi called down rain.

Lord of the Universe, I swear before your great name that I will not move from this circle until you have shown mercy upon your children.

Then it happened.

As his prayer ascended to the heavens, raindrops descended to the earth. The people rejoiced over the rain, but Honi wasn’t satisfied with a sprinkle. Still kneeling within the circle, Honi lifted his voice over the sounds of celebration.

Not for such rain have I prayed, but for rain that will fill cisterns, pits, and caverns.

The sprinkle turned into such a torrential downpour that the people fled to the Temple Mount to escape the flash floods. Honi stayed and prayed inside his protracted circle.

Not for such rain have I prayed, but for rain of benevolence, benediction, and grace.

Then, like a well-proportioned sun shower on a summer afternoon, it began to rain in perfect moderation. Some within the Sanhedrin threatened excommunication because his prayer was too bold for their taste, but the miracle couldn’t be repudiated.

Oh to be a prayer warrior! What an amazing gift God has blessed us with!

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

- Mathew 7:7-8

The Circle Maker is a book I cannot wait to read! (=

This is Detective Carlton Lassiter. I do his job. And sometimes his hair. Though clearly not today.

A bit of immaturity jumped out and before I could stop it, it inserted its self as the tittle of my post.

It has been a long week and though I do love calmness it was slow. Every one in the house was very sick ( everyone being, Quinn, Joanna, and Gavin.) Gavin is well but both Quinn and Joanna have lost their voices.

I spent about 14 hours this past few days finishing reading "North and South" ( p.s. I thoroughly enjoyed it.) Then after reading the book I felt I needed to watch the movie AGAIN.
                                                                North and South

Miss Manners

There is a book I so dearly love! The titte is " Miss Manners (Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior.)
Did i mention i have a greta deal of love for this book? I should like to share with you  some of my favorite things " Miss Manners" says in this book.

I would first like to share with you a few letters that people wrote to "Miss Manners" ( and her responce of course.)

      Dear Miss Manners:
What is the proper age for baptism?
     Dear reader:
It varies... For example, have you just been born or were you born again?

    Dear Miss Manners:
Don't you think that nowadays, in modern life, the old-fashioned custom of the condolence call is out of date?
   Gentle Reader:
Why is that? Is it because people don't die anymore, or is it because the bereaved no longer need comfort of their friends? Miss Manners is always interested in hearing about how life has been improved by modern thinking.....

    Dear Miss Manners:
What would you think is the proper way to walk in heals?
   Gentle Reader:
Left, right, left ,right,left,right,left.

At a Washington embassy dinner party, the king of Morocco plunged his fingers into his teacup and wiped them on his napkin. He had to his guessed, President Kennedy, had done it first.

This is an amazingly funny book!!

What have you been reading lately?

Does It pay To Visit Vermin?

Pure and undefined religion in the sight of our God and father is this: to visit orphans and widows is their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Local business men in Brazil call them "vermin." Garbage. "if we let them grow up,they will be criminals, a blight on our society?'' there are an estimated twelve million homeless children on the streets of Brazil. Their parents lost them in crowds, died, put them out. However they got there, they are there. These children beg, steal, sell there bodies. They eat garbage. They start scarred and end scared, or dead.

Some police men and others, contracting to kill street children so that they will not be a menace  to the city. In 1992 over 400 of these children were killed weekly.

It is the same in a lot of other big cities. The Philippine government estimates that there are 15,000 child prostitutes in manila between the ages of nine and twelve. One estimate suggests that in Thailand there are 800,000 girl prostitutes between the ages of 12 and 16.

If it takes hundreds of dollars to to stabilize a mature American christian who has been sexually abused, what in the world would we do with thousands of adolescence  who knew nothing but abuse lawlessness and violence on the street.

A representation of 15,000 people ( a representational of the child prostitutes in manila.)

The amount of homeless children in Brazil is more than the population of the state of Ohio!

We are so blessed by the Lord. These kind of statistics make me so thankful for everything God has blessed me with.

In him!

He answered, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your MIND....."( Luke 10:27)

I have found that even on very profitable days I don't remember what all I was thinking about that day. Ever thought I do not remember is a thought that I could have used to glorify God. When i made this realization I started to think, What if I tried glorifying God with all that time I was thinking on stuff that was not important enough for me to remember.

In the multitude of my THOUGHTS within me thy comforts delight my soul.( Psalms 97:19)

God blesses us with comfort, even the fact that we can worship him with our THOUGHTS is a blessing.

Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy THOUGHTS shall be established. ( Proverbs 16:3)

I want to worship God in all that I do even in those moments when I am just thinking of useless twaddle. Another good reason for commit my thoughts to him is simply this, Satin is a deceiver who attacks our minds, and God is the only defense against him.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose MIND is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)

In Him!
